Good question.

There should be a rule that all children of Politicians are on the top of the list... maybe then, they would think twice before starting unnecessary wars

No,

I would never want to put my life and trust in the hands of someone who is 100% against the misson who is forced to be there.

It's bad for discipline and moral start bringing in people who don't belong, won't work as a team have a big problem following orders you've got trouble :( just imagine being in a hot landing zone or the beaches like the ones in the Normandy invasion in a future World War with these guys.

No thanks no draft!

No I am not ready for the draft, and if any attempt is made to conscript me into the military, I will be the first one to leave the country in protest. It isn’t cowardice. This country has not been involved in a worthwhile military enterprise engaged to protect the foreign oppressed, or our national security since WWII. Almost every war since has been manufactured to increase the profit margins of those who are involved in the military industrial complex, with reasons of national security and defending the defenseless being merely pretexts. I will not give my life, freedom, and limb for the benefit of some defense contractor CEO’s bank accounts. This is precisely what the Iraq war is, and I refuse to participate in it, if it comes down to a draft.

Drafts are terrible way to recruit a army and countries all over the world have done away with drafts into the service. They would commit policital suiciude with a draft .

Its going to happen.

When N. Korea acts up again - what can we do.

This nation has been emasculated by a pointless war against a harmless despot that was totally contained by the UN.

Now, we are mired in an unwinnable war - and tomorrow all hell might break out over Saddham's conviction.

Thank God, I only have one "First-Born" son - he'll be exempt unless the Publicans change that law too....

No one is ever ready for the draft. Some consider it legalized kidnapping.
