I am sure we can place many argument "against" and "for" both possibilities.BUT the issue is that we do not have any influence on the already taken sentence. It is the final verdict, so we will witness his execution ,with a rope or without, with final words or not! In general, I am against the death sentence, Saddam Hussein will leave this world without having the Time to experience what is to be locked and jailed..so maybe the "new nice way" as you say is the needed one. Erasing someone from the earth is easy, let us give him the time to feel his helplessness and reach ( supposedly) a state of despair ( if such a dictator could).
Nice question.

Theres two opinions people think jail is the answer and some people think to hang him, personally i think he should be hung and it should be broadcast over the world for everyone to watch the scum tht caused pain to all those family's, it's time for the big lad to go bye bye.. but will there be revenge from his former army that some of them r still loyal..will this cause more pain and anguish?

Saddam Hussein should not be executed. His martyrdom would unleash a new wave of sectarian violence in an already very unstable region, much like the violence that was seen after the death of Al-Zarqawi.
In addition, it is downright foolish to think that the Bush Administration did not have a hand in the sentencing in order to improve the results of their party in the upcoming election.
And for those that say his execution is vital, tell that to some 19 year-old serviceman who will die in the bloodshed that is the aftermath of his execution.

It has already been decided, he will be hanged. As for opinion, it is not for us to accept or condemn, his people have chosen the fate which they feel is appropriate for the crimes he committed. I have hear it said that if stoning were still and acceptable punishment that is what he would have received...

Bring him back to the US and make him the George Bush professor of Arab Studies at Georgetown University. The US did this with Hitler's men after the end of WW II.

I say hang him, thats his countries way, or better yet, put him into a locked room with the family members of some of those that he killed, let them bring on the justice as they see fit.

yes death by hanging is a rather uncivilized way. Unless he finds a way to commit suicide in his cell. That is the sentence, stay tuned for tomorrow ......

He needs to be stabbed by the people he has killed. Unfortunatally, this isn't possible.
So he needs to be hanged (hanged is the past tense of hang when using it in the killing-form, right?). It's painful and no one will be paying for his stay in jail.
