True. But keep in mind that different ethnic groups and socioeconomic groups deal with the issue differently. We tend to hear more about the problem within the lower income group. Different ethnic groups tend to "tolerate" some of this behavior and "teach" the women and children not to speak up or report the violence. Just FYI, men can be victims of domestic violence as well. It has no boundaries. (This answer comes from my wife who is a social worker)

Very true.
Underneath the skin color, wealth, etc.. we are all the same. So, violence cuts across all classes and racial groups.

Absolutely true. Some socio-economic people have the means to hide it better than others. There is also emotional abuse which can have longer effects than violence.
