Asilos,
Yes, you have some control over your reality. I am not sure that one "knows absolute truth ", in every instance.
All of us enjoy some control. Examples would be parents raising children; teachers requiring schoolwork of their students; bosses giving assignments to employees. Controlling others for ego's sake is selfish and is seen as manipulation. I think that is unnecessary.

If you lose control of reality, then you lose control of what makes you who you are. To control others is a power trip...but an indication that one has a serious deficiency in the compassion department. Unless, of course, that is the mans profession. To control others for the sake of safety, business regulation, or responsibilty is one thing. To do it to supplement testosterone, that is just wrong.

No. If he thinks that, reality will jump up & slap him in the a**! Anyone who tries to control someone else (male or female) is wrong (is this an absolute truth? Hmmmm Have to think about that) I won't be controlled & won't try to control anyone else. If we don't have similar beliefs, we shouldn't be together.

...no. human should not think control over reality is the way or manner to do be have.

human is relatively successful at controlling for the purpose to accomplish. but humans in relationship may not can not and will not control for the sake of love/health/enjoyment for ego. why?...

because ego and soul in body have a relationship.

and soul needs no control ... soul simply communicates with ego (will of mind and personality) for the purpose to relinquish its' controlling manner of reality so that it may feel its' purpose in relationship with the reality it finds itself within and desiring.

in other words....not until you or i give up our thoughts and desires to control will we be happy because mind departs from purposes of soul when it attempts to control.

soul is loving...mind (ego/personality) creates fear when the thoughts/behaviours/actions of self in relationship to soul of self and others (of mind/body/soul) show what thoughts/behaviours/actions fare not well with loving purpose.

you can control a child by mind and will and ego. but you must bare your soul to guide in love. and this the mind may be willing to do...by accepting what is real and possible of soul.

you can control the temperature of the heating element which cooks your food. but you cannot control how readily you assimilate the nutrient properties of that food substance....unless ... you accept that it is not your minds purpose to do so....but rather that of the body which is not interfered by the will which chewed it.

if you hurry to control assimilation the accepting process is not completed.
if you accept assimiliation has its own purpose and process....you have enjoyed your meal and will not suffer indigestions.

key point is all in realization. if the mind is beside soul and body in purpose all are in harmony and disagree not.

if the mind neglect its' feelings (or conscience) in body then mind cannot accept their own love and purpose ... until their fears and consequences to fears are realized...in relationship.

be well

I think it is a necessity. But thinking one knows the absolute truth - that is insanity - unless of course you are the Son of God.

On a metaphysical level......maybe. In day to day life I think we create one self fulfilling prophecy after another. Attitude is everything.
