Like I tell someone blah blah blah i feel really bad about this then they are like ohh thats not good then almost 2 secs later they are like ohh did you hear my story about what some dude said at blah blah blah. Then I want to break into tears because Im sitting there with someone who just totally blew over what I said. This isnt just one person either. It really hurts all the way to the bottom. This has been a problem for a long time.

it sounds like you might be suffering from depression I know how you feel b/c I have it as well and although I was prescribed antidepressants, I really want to get better on my own..but to each his/her own...people blow you off either b/c they are self-absorbed, although they might care about you..or, they could be nervous and feel like they don't know how to help you and think if they change the subject, maybe it'll "lighten up" the mood...but I know it doesn't b/c I've been in your position...lots of times..I would tell the people who blow you off how you feel, like they're blowing you off...spell it out for them if you have to...you deserve to be listened to and your feelings are valid. Maybe you could do some research on seeking a counselor b/c they are there to listen to ppl, and help them. Lots of people see counselors, it does not mean you are "crazy".

You may be needing more from a friendship than most people are prepared to deal with. Serious discussion about your personal issues should be dealt with a professional or at least a clergy person. They may be tuning you out if you do this all the time. Ask a friend if it bothers them that you talk about your feelings and they may be honest with you. Good luck.

Often friends and family don't want to hear problems. You may want to seek professional assistance from a therapist.
