What are some fun things to design or build?

Wow! The possibilities are endless!!! I would suggest origami, an art of paper folding. It is so much fun, once you get the hang of it. It teaches you patience and precision, and once you master these skills, you can make beautiful creations that go from 2-D to 3-D!!! You can build model cars, 3D puzzles, popsicle stick structures....
You know what's fun and challenging (if you're into engineering)?
Build a capsule out of only cups, popsicle sticks, paper, and tape to surround an egg. Then, drop it off of a really high place and see if it survives. This is fun to do with a group of friends.
Make homemade instruments from everyday household items, design outfits, create a Rube Goldberg machine (these are awesome), or anything else that you're interested in. Whatever you do, I hope you have fun!!!

I'm a plastic modeler... and build alot of model buildings for railroaders... copying landmarks... and designing buildings to fit strange spots !!

Visit a hobby store... try a kit... or build from paper, cardboard, etc.

Use rubber bands to make jewelry. Not only is it fun to make, its fun to disemble as well. And if you go to the right places, you'll have people asking to buy some off of you... It's really funny...

Doll houses, bird houses, designer mailboxes, dioramas with themes that reflect your special interests.

well in science class at school we had to build rockets. I thought that that was pretty cool,but i like science. i dont know if u do or not. you could build bird houses, bird "hotels" , club house, squirrel feeders, ladder for a tree house, a desk,etc. those are just some ideas. idk what kind of stuff u like to build though.
