I don't really know how to respond except why would you want to wear them if you didn't NEED them? If you have bedwetting problem but are just too embarrassed to admit it, please talk to your parents or doctor about it.

Do you pee in them because you don't want to get up and out of bed, or do you still pee the bed and can't seem to stop? I would see a doctor about it either way. Peeing your bed/pants frequently can also cause smells that don't seem to go away, and some pretty uncomfortable rashes.
As for mentally, if you had a friend over, or your sibling found out and told everyone at school, would this hurt you emotionally? Socially? It would me.
Later in life, this may affect you as well.
There is also Infantilism (paraphilic) a certain psychological condition experienced by those whose level of physical maturity has clearly progressed beyond the life-stage of infancy. The defining aspect of this condition is the derivation of a profound sense of well-being or of a certain type of great pleasure that becomes associated with various infantile objects and/ or infantile roleplaying. When referred to in terms of sexuality, it is referred to as ABDL, or Adult Baby (or Teen Baby)/ Diaper Lover.

If being an adult baby is the case, don't feel strange. There are others like you, and while some people may make fun of you about it, its you, and what you like. Everyone has the fetishes. Seek a support group for Adult Babies.

I think you are regressing. Do you have something that is coming up in your life that makes you scared or nervous? Are you going through any major life changing events? Is something happening that is forcing you to grow up faster than you would want (such as having to take care of kids or parents going through tough times)? Sometimes major life changing (sometimes even unnoticable changes) events can cause you to want to regress to your younger days. This is just a phase and once you learn to deal with the situation you will over come this.

i don't believe that what your asking is true, i think that you have a bed wetting problem and are trying to cover up the truth by saying that you tried the diapers on, well in that case i would suggest that you see a doctor so that he can verify if you have some-kind of bladder leakage problem or something more serious

well not really...sometimes its because you just want to feel like a baby again..with no problems in your life..but other times you just wanna use a diaper out of curiousity...people would laugh and say you have problems..but they're not serious when they say it... i guess its just something that makes you feel comfortable...do what you feel!
