Yes we do, but there will always be those that say its rubbish, or its cold reading, or mind reading. What you have to watch out for is if you have a reading don't tell the medium anything other than yes, or no. When I do readings I always tell people this, and only when I get stuck on something do i ask for more, but then I do not continue with line. Derek is very good, but he is on TV so he is a bit of a showman. As for as mind reading goes, I wish I could, but tell me this how can I tell someone something, or give them a message that they have no idea what I am on about, and it is only when they talk to someone else often in the family that they find what I was talking about, how can that be mind reading, when it's not in their mind to read.
Lot's of people will say mediums are fake for a number of reasons, some of them will be a simple thing like they have watched to much TV, and thing what they see is what happens, wrong, for others they are afraid of the truth because once they find that there is life after death, and that you can contact them, it shows a lot of doubt of the believes they have on their religion, but you must remember ALL religion is man made, and a lot of it has been changed over the years to control man kind. The one thing that has not changed is God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Spiritualism was founded back in the 1800's by two ladies, it wasn't written down, no rules, no one to say you can't do this can't do that, and no to say pay me.
Most mediums do a lot of good in their work, and yes I did say most because as you know in life there is always someone out to con another.
I can tell you with my hand in my heart, and God as my witness life goes on, but please don't think all mediums are a joke, have you watched Colin Fry, or John Edwards.
There will others answering this question who will be saying all sorts well make up your own mind, I believe that I can, along with many others prove that life goes on and there is a spirit world, they won’t believe me, but let them prove me wrong.
But for some it would not matter how much evidence someone could provide they would not believe, Ask yourself this for what purpose would I lie, I make no money out of it, I hep loads of people, and gain nothing.
To me this is the only true religion, unlike many others of today it leaves you free to make up your own mind, it does not put you down if you disagree or makes you do things in the name of God.
I hope this explains just a little bit about a Medium

I am not really sure. After my mum died I went to a spiritualist church to see a medium. He said that there was a lady standing close to me with blond hair and that she came to give me a message. The message was to tell me that she was OK and not to keep beating myself up. Well, my mum had blond hair but so do I and lets face it everyone beats themselves up after somebody has died. You constantly question what you should of done, what you didn't do, what you wished you had said etc. I realised a few years later that my mum and I had so many unresolved issues that were not resolved before her death, that I was just looking for something to curb my own painful feelings. I wanted to believe that she was still around and that she was watching out for me. It was however all part of the grieving process. The medium allowed me to believe in life after death. Now I have resolved the issues with my mum, I know longer feel that and don't feel the need to visit a medium. One thing I will say though is that if they are fake they are dangerous because they give vulnerable people false hope.

Some can and some cant. I've seen shows where a Medium is contacted from the other side and it is really believable but other shows that I've seen look so fake. The only way to really find out is to go to a Medium who knows nothing about you or your family and see if someone comes through for you.

In most cases the answer is most definitely no.
Mediums use a technique called "cold reading" to convince people that they are in communicating with a long lost relative. It's basically educated guesswork.
It's an impressive skill, of course, but essentially they're just conning people.

No. The only people they communicate with are the poor bastards who believe their hokum. Derek Acorah is a sick joke, just like TalkSport on which he turns up regularly.

I believe we go on after death, the soul is immortal, but
as far as 'communication' I don't think so, psychis like
Acorah, Browne and Edwards just make it seem believable;
but messing with 'ouja boards' and mediums can be a
dangerous pass time, we will all find out the 'truth' when
our time comes.

Well im skeptical about situations. I have beem told stories by my grandma and my mum about my great grandmother. She used to read tealeaves, she never did it for money, but she would do it for friends and family. The thing is both my mother and my grandma have informed me of stories where she predicted many things in great details. Even the death of her friends husband (she didnt tell her friend at the time). I know this is unrelated, but my point is if someone can predict the future like that, i dont think its completely irrational for someone to claim that they can speak to the dead,
Personally though i dont understand how they can.

I dont believe they can.
There's no way to prove they are fake, however; just reasonable hypothesis. They too are unable to prove they can. But, God did warn not to do this, for some reason. But, I'm too skeptical to think that this happens. At least more than the once recorded in the Bible.

Nothing would be worse than dying and seeing the 100 billion people that have lived on earth from the last 20,000 years.
Talk about no escape!

Who knows? The only way I'd be convinced is if they came to my house and told me something personal that no one else could know about my dead relatives. I would never go out and spend any money for that crap.
