I know a lot of pride is a sin,but is to much respect a sin??

I know someone who always buys respect with money,but lately no amount of amount money is buying him NOTHING!!!!!

Too much of anything is/can be a sin. In your example that really is not respect that is being bought. Respect is "earned" and buying it is really unearned and falsely gotten.
Your good example is that there comes a time when people get wise to the scam they don't buy into it or accept the money. Look at Enron leaders. They had all kinds of money with which they brought "respect" now they are in jail.

True respect cannot be bought with money -- so it's something else that was purchased. And too much respect for anyone or anything buy God is idol worship and that's a sin.

Genuine respect can't be bought. It has to be earned.
