How can we explain the future? All we can do is wait and see. I don't think anything really exciting is gonna happen. It's all technology these days and it will be in the future. I'm not believing all that crazy, out-of-this-world crap like flying cars and cyborgs doing all our house work. That's pathetic. I mean come on! People expect too much. Well we all know that the world is in debt and things are becoming rediculously expensive. Governments are greedy and when they rob us of our money, they are too busy spending it on weapons for war instead of giving us things that we will benefit from. Look at those poor victims of hurricane Catrina, still suffering because of an ignorant, arrogant, selfish president who couldn't care less about them, just this stupid war! Personally i am really scared of what the future holds, it's not looking good is it? Maybe things will change for the better... just maybe but don't hold your breath. In the end, we are the future and our children are the future, this is our world and it's up to us to make it better, many people just can't stop to realise that. We've gotta hold on to what we've got, the world is still a beautiful place if u look in the right places, go see!

A brave New World in 1984 with lots of children of men and a sort of equilibrium, that'll be the day (after tomorrow)!. Hollywood paints a rosey picture!!

How knows, the damus..no!

It's an question we can try to answer until it is the future. Live today.

PS Funny i saw on the paper today that there will be a tsunami in 2060 destroying London. So that could be it, but i never trust the weatherman and in the UK if you don't like the weather wait five minutes. Peace out

The visions I have for the future are unrealistic, but here goes;
free health care, never another war, all people getting along, plenty of pay, no more nursing homes, people would care for their own people, a government that is really for the people and of the people. Basically, a Utopian society. Great question!!!

well if we dont change and we continue to abuse this planet. my great great grand children will sit around the campfires telling stories of flying machines and the days when the food ran out. The days when the obese people Like me were able to use there genetic advantage of being able to store fat. They then lasted long enough to make super model Jerky and ate the week skinny people to survive. My future offspring will keep this future food source, in pens in our underground world. Of course they will be bred to be fat. How Ironic. rather grim veiw of the future but the human race will survive even if were not human anymore. that will be the worst part.

My vision is rather bleak. Based on what we're doing to the planet and each other, we'll be lucky if we go extinct.

Otherwise maybe democracy, science and the internet will mean that we finally live at peace with each other and can concentrate on things that are really important... like space travel and hoverboards and TVs in your eyes... and stuff.

the rise and fall of corporate power (after WalMart & Tescos merge and start up their own country and begin the next world war)
end of single world superpowers (after china's had it's go)
a 'rebirth' of personal social interaction where we talk to people face to face (after everyone gets bored of the internet & computer games).
many deaths.
if we ruin this planet, we might end up living on mars or something.

In a general sense?

Think... 1984 by Orwell and an apocalyptic war...

But, personally... I see myself sitting at home eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...
