no. bad idea. obviously, it hasn't been finished for a reason. you can't just do that either. if someone has the desire to write a book, they are going to write their OWN book. they aren't going to want to share the credit with you. then, there is all the copyright issues & legalities. just keep it & hopefully you will finish it someday.
perhaps you can ask some friends to read what you have & give you feedback & ideas as to where to go with the book.

Yes, I've written more than 30 published books. I'm also a lecturer at our nearby college, teaching courses such as 'Write and be Published'.
I'm afraid your plan is really a non starter. It doesn't help that you don't tell us why you couldn't finish it, but the usual reason for this is that new writers create a story, write some of it, then can't decide what comes next. Writer's block strikes again!
If your burning ambition is to write, first of all plot the entire story - you need never run out of steam if you do this. Then apply the bum to the chair and write it. All of it. Don't rely on others; this is YOUR creation! Have the guts and determination to finish what you started. This plan will not bring in a good writer to finish your book - all the good writers are out there creating their own stories!
I truly hope you will succeed. But I'd like to advise you - without meaning any insult whatsoever - that you polish up your grammar, spelling and punctuation skills. First impressions do matter, so give your work a professional touch which will encourage an agent or editor to read your work.
I wish you the very best of luck!

I am writting a book at the moment and have got up to chapter 8 a little stuck but nothing a few days away will not put right.
To be honest what you are asking I doubt people would take on board I would not pay five pounds to read something unless it was the finished article a BOOK! I also would not want to help someone finish the ending without more than a mention in your book I would want more than that.
It reminds me of what Jeffery Archer did years ago and stole someones story out of a comp he was judging the author reckognised it and sued she won.
I think you will find you may have to pay someone a lot more than a mention in a book.
I hope you go back to your book and finish it as it would be a shame not to have that all done by yourself. Why could you not finish it did you just run out of ideas? Pick that script up and re read it some insperation just might come through for you to finish it.
Try researching stalkers more their is a site that people go to for support on stalking and cant remember what it is called but honestly they have tons of info on there about the diffrent types of stalker and what you can do. That may inspire you to finish it research often does that for me the more I learn the more I want to write.
good luck

Yes I've written and published quite a bit. When I get stuck sometimes I need to put aside the written word and talk things through, either just out loud as I'm doing something else (running, gardening, doing dishes) or with someone listening. Try just *telling* the plot to a friend like you were just swapping stories... tell them what happens (keep it short and to the point) and keep going... when you get to the ending just tell them whatever comes into your head. Try it again with another friend and see what happens when you get to the end of the story (maybe something different will happen at the ending the second time). When the *right* ending appears you will know it and the person who is listening will know that it feels right too. Then you will be ready and excited to go back and write up the ending.

I bad idea - I cannot see someone wanting to pay £5.00 to read your half-finished book, spend hours creating an ending, then hope that you use it !
If anyone did take you up on the offer, and it was to be published, they could claim half of the royalties.
Best thing to do is put the book to one side for a few weeks and then come back to it, you'd be surprised how a break can give you new ideas.
Also, please ensure that before the finished book is sent off to a publisher, that you get someone to double check the spelling and grammar. Publishers do not like errors in drafts and it may put them off your book.
Good luck.

Yes I have written a book and no you can not get somebody to finish it for you. Where would the achievement be in that? You have worked hard to get this far with it so YOU have to finish it. If you are having difficulties or have writers block come away from it for a while and then go back to it.

Not a good idea as in the event of the book becoming a best seller they could claim 50% of your royalties etc.

I'm writing a horror yarn at the moment but would find it hard to accept any help. Finish it yourself, keep trying.

You would charge people for the pleasure of finishing your book for you? Bloomin' cheek.
