A tertiary color is a color made by mixing one primary color with one secondary color, in a given color space. Unlike primary and secondary colors, these are not represented by one firmly established name each, but the following examples include some of the most popular.
Primary Colors: Blue, Yellow, Red
Secondary Colors are obtained by adding two primary colors: Blue + Yellow = Green,
Yellow + Red = Orange
Red + Blue = Purple
So the order would now go:
Blue(P), Green(S), Yellow(P), Orange(S), Red(P)....etc.
Tertiary colors are obtained by adding primary colors with secondary colors in the order they occur:
Blue(P) + Green(S) = Aquamarine(T),
Green(S) + Yellow(P) = Chartreuse(T),
Yellow(P) + Orange(S) = Marigold(T),.... etc

Primary colors are red, blue, and yellow.
Tertiary colors are the ones made with combinations of the primary ones.
For example, red+blue= purple, blue+yellow= green, and red+ yellow= orange. Those are all tertiary colors.
