No, not at all. The genocide is a huge problem, and it's being largely ignored by governments around the world. We need to get strong UN peacekeeping forces into Darfur immediately if we want to stop the genocide. Go to www.savedarfur.org for more information.

Unfortunately, there are some in this country, more importantly in positions of power, who see Darfur as a waste of time. Matter of fact, many see it as a "Hollywood Tragedy"; in other words, people only want to help there because A-list actors want to. However, Darfur is hardly a Hollywood Tragedy. In fact, I find it no different from Rwanda, which people still bring up today, that Clinton had the same inaction regarding. Unfortunately, too many people want to hold one responsible and not the other. We should be in Darfur, but we aren't. Simply because people in power don't give a damn.

Yes!

We invade Iraq, presumably over PRIOR atrocities, links to terrorism and WMDs, and although Sudan is ACTIVELY in the midst of atrocities, knowingly harbored Bin Laden and Al Qaida and possesses WMDs which can be used against the citizenry, we do nothing!

Why, because they have nothing we want (ahem...oil & fat contracts), and because helping an African state is simply not in the agenda of our leadership.

We are guilty through our inaction, just like passively watching someone commit suicide will net you charges, we are guilty.

Oh, I see....I guess that's the United States fault, too. And what exactly is the rest of the world doing about it? Or is the US responsible to take care of all of you and put up with your nasty insults as if you are all rebellious teenagers? You can't have it both ways, though you do hate America and then rely on us every time some disaster strikes and we go running to help. What's YOUR country doing about it? How about yourself?

You want to do something? Then fill this out and send it to President Bush instead of pointing fingers, complaining, and blaming.
