My bestfriend says she gets on the internet all the time but her dad took away there instant messager so she can't talk to me!! Her brother is my boyfriend and i really just want to talk to him but i need to figure out if there is a way for me to contact them on the internet besides instanat messenger and email. But my real concern is if it is even possible to have internet access without an email address!!

yes .... they probally just surf ...Here's a way you could contact them online without emailing or instant messaging
Both of you join a message board that that doesn't have too much traffic and post back and fourth to each other. MSN groups has many almost abandoned message boards that would work for this.Some of the message boards have chat rooms attached . A lot of these chat rooms have ZERO traffic so it would be fairly private .There are also some hobby websites that have chat rooms ... you could chat in those rooms with each other.
*** since he/she doesnt have email to sign up for a message board you could sign him/her up using an extra email acount you have or could get ...then give him/her the password/user id to get into the message board or chat room.

Yes, it is possible to have access to the Internet without email. However, your friend can still contact you through a variety of methods. You can contact each other through bulletin boards or your friend can create a free email address at Yahoo (or many other free email services).

Sure you can! Having an email address isn't a requirement to get onto the Internet. All you have to have is an ISP... Internet Service Provider. There are lots of other websites that you can use to contact people... you and they just have to set up accounts on the same website (Myspace, etc.)

There is always a possbility that the internet connection comes with an email address and that email address is taken by the head of the family....let say your boyfrined's father and none of the boys have his own free email address....This does not happen normally but can happen.
Your second point that how can you contact them....you can always send them/ him text message on his phone via your yahoo messenger........typing his phone no. by clicking send text message. You can use any of your friend's chat box. and put your b/f's no. and send SMS.

Yes. While AOL, MSN, peoplepc and comcast come with email, but you don't have to sign up for a screen name. Other providers don't even have their own services, so if you sign up for email, it's by yourself.
