Sounds like you've been doing what you should be doing already (Going to the weight rooms and open gyms, and working w/ the coach). Keep it up and work hard during the tryouts. Sounds like you're going to make the team for sure.

Well i don't know about basketball but i play soccer and my tryouts are coming up soon too. Like you i want to be noticed in a good way by the coach too. But everytime she wathes me play in P.E i end up messing up, she see's my bad points. But anyway... keep going to those open gym things try to get some reallly good shots in and also defense is a good thing to thats what i play in soccer... even if you can't make shots if u can prevent them that is like awsome ! All I can say is get noticed at tryouts in a good way ... don't be a ball hog , but get the ball to just when you do get it make sure u think quick ! LOL

for me tryouts are in thirteen days and im 17 looking to make the school and final 12 months i didnt make it this 12 months greater be my 12 months.REMEMBER HOG THE BALL IN TRYOUTS SO THE COUCH CAN SEE YOUR TALENT IF U KEEP PASSING HE WONT SEE HOW GOOD U REALLY ARE. TRUST ME IV BEEN THRUE THIS AND I GOT PISSED WHEN I DIDNT MAKE IT. DONT ME NERVOUS THAT TAKES YOUR WHOLE SPOT AWAY TRUST ME. BE A WOMEN ABOUT IT.TELL YOURSELF THIS IS YOURS NOW. DRINK REDBULL 10 MINUTES B4 TRYOUTS.

work on your close shooting every day! making sure your form is good thats what my coaches always tell me. everyday start in close and work your way out to the three point line. start running so that you have enough energy for practice. i have tryouts in a week and those sre some of the things i am doing

If you like playing basketball then you should totally try out. dont be afraid of what will happen because if you dont you will wish you did!!!! if you dont make the team at least you tried!!!!! good luck!

do a 1 mile run like today and 2 days from now.
do sprints. and suicides. stay ahead now so you dont suffer later.
jump in place and do power slides.
do sprints do sprints do sprints. make sure you are tired.
