I always recommend a stomach virus or you ate something bad. No one is going to want more details on that and lots of people wouldn't go to the doc as they would be stuck in the bathroom all day. Just sound really pathetic on the phone ; )

The "runs" is the best excuse. With a cold, you have to sound stuffy. With a funeral or something, you're expected to come up with at least a few details. With the runs, you don't have to sound any different, except maybe tired if you were up all night with it, and no one wants any details.

Look for a good medical website find some weirdly named condition note the symptoms and tell them you've got that.

Just call in and say you're sick - easy. Your employer hasnt got to know why and if they do ask say simply 'I have womens problems' stops them from asking any more . If they do ask start going into details of losing blood and they ask you to stop x

what about you've got conjunctivitus (sticking together of the eyes, sore and very catching), you dont have to put o a voice to make out you've got a cold, good luck!
