I used to live in florida and didnt have a car, it really wasnt a big deal because I used the Lynx bus system. You can look up their routes online and print them off. Then when you want to go somewhere just buy a day pass for 1.50 i believe, it says on the site, and you are all set to go. Their is a bus that goes to the Ticket and Transportation center of Disney, it actually has a stop right outside of where your hotel will be. Their is also a bus, but I dont believe it picks up from where you are but it does pick up from the TTC at Disney that will take you to Universal and Sea world. It may take you some extra planning and some extra time on the non-disney days, but its really not too bad and the buses are comfy.

You can take a taxi anywhere. If there are none in front of your hotel, or if you want to make sure one is there when you want, have the guest services at the hotel call for one at your required time.
However, I think it would be cheaper to rent a car. When we were at Disney World in September, we wanted to get from the Grand Floridian to Downtown Disney and didn't want to wait for the bus, so we took a taxi. It cost us $25.00- and this was all on Disney property. (we didn't care because there were 5 of us and we split the cost, but if you had to do this to get everywhere, I can see it adding up) You might want to contact your hotel ahead of time, and ask them to find out for you what the taxi trips you plan to take will cost you. At least this way you will be able to budget accordingly.
Have a great trip!

If you arent extremely paranoid about the difference in driving, i suggest renting a car. Its really an inexpensive thing over there. I usually use hertz and they really are quite cheap. If your scared of driving on the other side of the road, then by all means get a taxi but i honestly think youll pay just about as much for a taxi to disneyland as you would for a couple of days rental

You can take cabs, but they can be a bit expensive, you can take the bus, cheaper but you need to find the schedules. Your best bet would be to rent a car, then you have a bit more flexibility when and where you want to go. Good Luck and Have Fun in our lovely Sunshine State. KG
