last sunday i was on the phone with this boy i like. it was a day after we got caught being out at around 2 am together by a cop. anyway. he was calling to just kinda see how i was doing, how much trouble i was in with my parents since im just about 16 and they were very mad at me. since hes 18 he was telling me about the fines he has to pay because he got ticketed or penalized or whatever for "parking in the middle of the road with no illumination". so then later on he says "okay ill let yo ugo now, definatly call me sometime". then the next day we were briefly talking on IM and he asked me if he could be my date to this party thing we were invited to. thats the story. (oh plus ive known this kid for like 2 years. he lives an hour away though.) my question is, when he says call me sometime. does that mean call him soon? call him in a long time? call him at all? like, do you think he likes me more than a friend?its been a week.do you think calling him this tuesday would be a good idea?

Your looking at this waaay to hard, just give him a call. When a guy says that, he is basically wanting to talk to you, without coming on as desperate or clingy. Just give him a call, do a lot of talking so he doesn't have to do much, and it should be good.

A fathers answer:

You should definitely not call him ever. Every older person reading your question wishes they could go back in time and undo a really bad decision. I'm guessing that you believe your parents don't want you to be happy just because they are mad that you stayed out until 2am. In reality, your parents are concerned about you because your about to make some decisions that affect the rest of your life. The best decision you can make is to do your best in school, obey your parents, and allow yourself to get through college before getting into a relationship with a guy. If you listen to this advise, you will have a much better life ahead of you. If you choose to go ahead and call this boy, think about how it will affect your life. Will you end up pregnant, quitting school, working full time at a low paying job? A wise person would decide how to have a successful life and choose the path that leads to success. Instant gratification never leads to success. It takes hard work, determination, and goals to have a successful life. Hope you will find this advice helpful.

I know this is kind of beside the point, but I just feel compelled to point out the fact that technology today is both a gift and a curse to relationships. It is a gift for the bridges is can build (such as keeping in touch in long distance relationships) but also a curse for when it is used for communication when face to face conversation is needed. Some things just shouldn't be said in any other way than in person.

Call him by all means only if you want to, I think he is hoping it might go further by the sounds of it. By the way he deserved the fine

I think you should call him. If a guy tells you to call that usually means they like you and they do want you to call.
