Ok this is not really a HUGE lie, but it is one that makes me think twice because we have just really became good friends again. My friend was supposed to go out with me. When I texted her she wrote back that she was at another place and that our other friend was there. And I said ok, and did she still want to meet where we planned. Well she never wrote back. We had been planning this for a while. She calls the next day and said sorry, but her phone died...BUT, another friend said she had talked to her later that night for over an hour and her phone was just fine. Also, there were other cell phones there. It was really just a flat out lie. Confronting wont do a bit of good b/c she will just get mad and deny. That is just that way she is. What would YOU do in this situation?

I'd find another friend. I value honesty too much and you should too. You are too good for that crap. There are too many other people that could value your friendship if you let them. She will lie to you again. Do you really need a "friend" like that? Life is too short for liars and game players. Be a good friend to someone who cares about you.

Just kind of mention in passing that you heard she talked to so and so that night and see what she says from there.
It's wierd at your age- that people do that. But, if it's any consulation- it happens all the time.
The good news is- most everyone turns out "normal" when you get older.
Sorry that your feelings got hurt.

If you plan to remain friends with this person you must accept the fact that she is a compulsive liar. If you cannot accept this then you must get her out of your life permanently. It's your choice.

You can either forgive her or not. It sounds like she had something better to do than spending time with you. You can accept that or find a new friend that won't lie to you.

take it as a lesson learned. you can't expect people to be more than they are. either accept she is a friend you can't really count on, or stop being her friend.
