I am asking this question because I am doing a college study on sexuality in America, and am specifically studying the double standards of males and females, and want to know what some people in society consider to be virginity or losing virginity for females vs. males.

Unless he penetrated enough to feel what intercourse was actually like, and did more than just one slight poke, he's kidding himself if he thinks he's not the equivalent of a virgin.
I'd say he's still a virgin if he didn't complete the job, but that's just me.

For some males who are very tiny in the penis department, half-way in might be as far as they can ever make it...but I would not still call them a virgin. I think the loss of virginity comes with the insertion of the penis into the vagina, no matter how far in it goes. Of course this only applies to hetersexual couples. I have no idea on the virginity standards for gay and lesbian couples. I think oral sex is a sex act, but I don't feel it has anything to do with virginity.

What happened? Did the boy lose interest? Maybe he hasn't reached puberty. If he sticks it in a little, like half way, he ain't gonna stop 'til the jobs done. Don't kid yourself, once he gets a taste, he's no longer a virgin. He'll be craving more.

In my opinion, any act of intimacy that breaches physical lines into touch without clothing is losing virginity. This case of yours certainly sounds like it. I suppose in typical terms, he hasn't unless he's came inside her or outside of her body after enjoying himself therein, but I don't consider that the lowest threshold.
Although I agree that there is a doulbe standard for women- if that boy was considered a virgin in this case, then I'm sure people would view the girl as having lost her virginity- which is stupid- they were both there!

Then why ask it in GBLT? Or word it properly. If a guy still a virgin is he only puts his penis into an anus half way? Is a girl still a virgin if the strap on was only inserted half way? Don't you think you would get better heterosexual answers from the appropriate forum? Or are you just trying to be offensive.

You aren't a virgin if you have sex whether the sex lasts for 1 second or 1 hour... hopefully your first time would be longer than a second lol you need at least a few minutes to appriciate it!!!

No, he is NOT considered a virgin in my opinion. If he penetrated the vagina, then he has had intercourse which means that he had sex which also means that he is no longer a virgin.

There's no such thing as being a little pregnant. Either your are or you're not. There's no such thing as being "half a virgin." Either you had sex or you didn't. Penetration however slight.......I can't believe I'm even answering this question. Are you sure you're a college student? Whatever!
