Anyone remember seeing this movie about Halloween (I think)?

There is a movie, I think it was about Halloween. People either bought these masks or head covers or they may have been sent to homes randomly. They would put this thing on and when they would watch a certain commercial this thing over their heads would turn their heads to mush. Then worms (I thinK) would start coming out of their heads. I remember the music in the commercial had a catchy, repetitive tune. Naturally, they were dead.
Sometimes I wonder if I really saw a movie like this, but I know it exists, because I saw it twice. It is really old; I think the 70's.

It has nothing to do with the first two films. Called "Halloween 3 the Season of the Witch."
A mad warlock hatches an evil plot to enact bloody mass murder. He creates creepy masks which force the wearer to commit violent acts of assassinations on the night of Halloween.
The released date for this movie was in 1998. Most likely made in the late 80's.
