The terrorists have hated the US for over 25 years, when the US started giving billions of dollars of support to Israel (under many different US presidents). And the only time the world ever loved the US was during WW II (Never during the Clinton Admin.) but once WW II was over the best the US has ever been looked at by the rest of the world is "liked". But since Bush became President it has become dislike or strongly dislike and when your trying to find and kill terrorists spread out all over the world that negative attitude toward the US can really hurt your chances of winning the war on terror ASAP.
