Peru's currency unit was the Inti from 1985 to 1991.
Prior to 1985, It was called the Sol, which explains why it is neccessary to call Peru's current currency the Nuevo Sol.

10000 Sols = 1 Inti
1000000 Intis = 1 Nuevo Sol
