you can close it I suppose, but things originally in it will still be out there, so why bother? Damage was already done so I'd look for solutions to overcome the bad stuff.

I think the scenario is "Closing the barn door after the Horse is gone". The reprocussions of the Pandora's Box theory is quite drastic. First of all the "curiousity kills the cat, sometimes". Meaning it depends on the intention of the opening, if it is to reek havoc on others then the answer is no it will not be closed the damage will be done and time goes forward and waits for no man. But if it is innocently done then there is a chance to close it once the curiousity has been curbed by the insult inflicted upon the curious person, and the realization is that they have done wrong. However it will still be that some damage done but not a total loss some things will be mended in time, such as the air and the atmosphere we breathe, we have remedied some and still trying to do more to resolve the problems of oxygen intake due to Jet fuel etc.

No, i dont think you can close it again.
Becasue if it were that easy to open and close the pandoras box then there really wouldn't be anything life threatening about it...right?!

Not with the contents in tact. Once the cat has been let out of the bag, you can not put him back in.
And whilst I'm in cliche mood, it's a game of two halves, a stitch in time saves nine, and all that glisters isn't gold.
Hope this answer helps.

just like everything else..once you open and or enter Pandora's box, it can not be fixed or closed again, once done it can not be undone, just like words in anger, once said in anger can not be taken back.
so be careful, be very careful for what you do and or say...
because it could always come back and bite you...
good luck
