I'm an actor and looking for work. I've recently been made disabled can I still work? I know you see people in wheel chairs all the time on TV but is there a special agent/list/equity to join?
Anyone know of an agency that only hires disabled people?

I think your first step should be to get an agent. Your agent would be the one to present your resume to clients that are looking for actors of your talent.

You could also try actors equity.....ask them if they know of any agencies for disabled actors.

Good luck!

In addition to your traditional headshots, how do you feel about having photos of you in your wheelchair to mail to agents and casting directors, so they recognize you are disabled. Mail the headshot and the wheelchair photo, to your usual list of agents and casting directors.

An agency or casting director casts for handicapped and non-handicapped actors at the same agency. You did not say in which city you live.
