After watching Hacking Democracy, why are no republicans being screwed in elections? Could it be that Diebold's CEO was also on Bush's re-election campaign?

Nah...couldn't be. *sarcasm*

You are exactly right my friend... The CEO of Diebold (the primary manufacturer of the electronic voting machines), Walden O'Dell not only is on the re-election campaign for George W. Bush, he is one of the largest contributors to the Republican Party. pasted is an exerpt from the Common Dreams Newscenter:

Walden “Wally” O’Dell, reside in Columbus’ northwest suburb Upper Arlington. O’Dell is on record stating that he is “committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President” this year. On September 26, 2003, he hosted an Ohio Republican Party fundraiser for Bush’s re-election at his Cotswold Manor mansion. Tickets to the fundraiser cost $1000 per couple, but O’Dell’s fundraising letter urged those attending to “Donate or raise $10,000 for the Ohio Republican Party.”

The list of unethical "co-incidences" is very large, so it should come as no surprise to the educated person that the machines may easily be altered (probably right from O'Dell's office)
