Does anyone know how i can unlock my phone so that a sim card of a different service provider with cingular will work with my phone??

details: i have a motorola razr v3

if you've been with them for more than 6 months (with that particular phone), they will unlock the phone for you by just calling customer service. if it's less than 6 months, they wont.

If you want to unlock your phone (and don't know the authorization code) then you should probably call cingular and ask them how to do this. If you are wanting to use another SIM however, all you have to do is turn off the phone and remove the SIM card from the phone and put the other one in and it should work without a problem. I am not sure if all phones are like this in the US as I was living abroad for the last several years. But my husband and I used to switch out our SIMs all the time and never had any problem.
