I've really only got 3 main friends, we've always stuck together, known each other forever, but they're all smarter, taller, much more pretty, and nicer than me. One is smart pretty and funny, but she's already made it clear she doesn't want to go to university because she thinks she can be rachel of friends or something, the other is to much of an attention seeking, annoying brat to realise vast majority of people hatee her, and the thrid can be the one you see with the corner office, but she won't speak up for herself! I would do annything to be as smart, pretty and less crater faced then I am. my talents are horse back riding, archery, and reading. I might've gotten along fine in medevil times, but not now. is it wrong to hate them for throwing away what I would die for?

No, not exactly wrong, but there a more than a touch of envy and it is not undeserved. You're right in feeling that way - HOW DARE THEY throw their opportunities away?

But on the other hand, the grass is always greener on the other side. They may think that their opportunities are not right for THEM. You ever thought that they may be envious of YOU - that YOU have both feet on the ground, are intelligent, talented, sensible, reliable, intuitive? Why, Robin Hood in his right mind would love to have such a Maid Marian at his side!

What you may "die for" is fleeting, what you ALREADY have lasts FOREVER!

Dear Friend Stop Stop.. Friends are a dime a dozen and from what you have described they are not to promising..I want to talk about you.....You Need To Start Believing In Yourself.....You ARE BEAUTIFUL Inside AND Out.....and you are smart and your talents go way beyond others......You do not hate them they are whining over life and matters that are so superficial that they don't make sense....you are facing reality and you need to move on with your life never mind them......take your life and make your dreams come true I BELIEVE IN YOU..luv kara

And maybe they might have different talents than you but its what you belive in and what u truely believe in that will get u thru life. Just coz they have something that you don't have dusnt mean that they are better than you.

Ok first of all why are they your friends if they have such ugly qualities. Perhaps if you evaluated your jealousy and self-pity you would at least begin to be "pretty" on the inside. Then you can always work on the outside. But if you are telling complete strangers such ugliness about the people you choose to call your friends what does that tell us about you and your choices?

It's not wrong to hate them, but hate will eat you up. Try looking at them with pity. The first two are destined to unhappiness. The third should be given encouragement to self-advocate. As for you, I don't know your age, but you have a self-defeating attitude. You have a lot to offer and need to be confident in that fact. Learn to love yourself and everthing good in life will come to you.

Everyone chooses their own destiny, everyone is an individual. You don't know what they really think, no more than they know what you think. I suggest you quit focusing on them, and focus on yourself. What do you want to do with your life? Being envious of others doesn't get you anywhere, I and millions others can tell you that. So just ignore those thoughts of envy and think first what you can do for yourself to make you the happiest.

unfortunately, you can't control what other people do, you can only control what you do. you have just pointed out that all these girls are talented, pretty, funny, etc. do you really feel that if they were as 'smart' as you say they are, they wouldn't recognise their talents and gifts as you already have????? you can see their potential, do you think they can see potential in themselves? regardless of what people look like, everyone has faults, just as people have many strengths. be more concerned about you! never underestimate yourself!
