This may sound odd but has anyone else had a problem with a sore vagina (outside not inside)? My outer lips feel really heavy and painful, especially when I walk! (Sorry to be abit graphic - it's a pretty embarrassing question to ask, I know!) There has been no bleeding or anything. It also feels like my baby is trying to push through my rib cage some nights and it's quite painful sometimes. Is this normal and has anyone else had these problems? My first pregnancy and I was just curious!!

It's not itchy or anything like that. I've had Thrush b4 and I know it's not that.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and you have exactly the same problems as me!! i spoke to my doctor about the soreness and she told me it's completely normal all the pressure from the baby pushing down is what is making me so swollen down there or as you put it heavy, walking is almost impossible at times for me, but from what i was told it's all normal I try laying on my side with a pillow between my legs at night when I'm uncomfortable and cant sleep it's more comfortable then just lying flat on my back and i noticed with the soreness the more i walk at first it really hurts but once i start walking more and more it doesn't hurt as much

The best thing that helped me was finally accepting that I wasn't going to get 7 or 8 hrs uninterrupted sleep. Make sure you feel it's ok to be up watching the tonight show at 3am. I dropped a lot of anxiety once I stopped trying to reach the 8 hr goal. Some other practical tips: lot of pillows - behind you back, btwn your knees and one to hug. Also if its really bad - change rooms, try the couch or a recliner. A fan left on in the room also helps - white noise and cool air. Hope this helps, good luck, you are almost there.

Welcome to end of your pregnancy! I'm 28 weeks and and I'm not due till the end of Jan but they told me at my last appt I'm measuring four weeks ahead...so I'm measuring more like 32 weeks and I'm super uncomfortable!! Sometimes I wake up at night and feel like I can't breath. It stinks. As far as the vaginal pain..I know what you're talking about because after delivery I had that. My labia got super swollen and hurt. I didn't experiance it during pregnancy (and havent with this one thus far) but I can definatly relate to you! Pregnancy is very hard on the body...only a few more weeks to go and you can then focus on getting yourself back to normal! Try changing your position often and see if that helps with the ribs. Unfortuanly there isn't a ton that can be done..you pretty much just have to deal at this point. Best of luck to you!

It all sounds quite normal to me. I was convinced my daughter was gonna be a gymnast with the amount of kicking and flip flopping she did. As for the soreness it sounds like a yeast infection which is quite common during pregnancy. You can either pop to the chemist for some cream or if you want a natural alternative try natural yoghurt - it sorts the yeast out and is lovely and cool when you apply it.

The labial pain is most likely due to an undetected yeast infection. Doc can prescribe you something for this. As for the pushy rib cage? Sound like you have an acrobat-to-be in there! It's baby flip-flopping on areas that have no business being smooshed...lol. Chin up- it'll all be worth it in a few short weeks!

This all sounds normal to me. try using a creme on the sore areas, but apart from that i dont think theres much you can do about it. i was the same when i was pregnant and im afraid you just have to grin and bare it untill the baby is born. good luck

sorry to hear you feel uncomfortable, sounds to me like the baby is dropping down into your pelvis readying itself for the delivery. speak to your midwife if you feel worried. also thrush is a common problem during pregnancy, if this is the case its easily fixed. best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

I totally agree. I am 37 weeks pregnant just now with my first too, and so uncomfortable. It gets a bit easier to breath once baby drops which mine fortunately did last week. Phew!
