I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own. I resign.

I'm not going to argue for or against what you are saying... all I'll say is that if you want to have a more convincing argument... try to back it up with facts instead of distortions.
Like your false statement that "biometrics" as they are currently implemented involve the taking of DNA and it involves giving it to the government. No biometric scanner that I'm aware of uses DNA matching. They all use either fingerprint analysis or retinal scanning as far as I know.
Update:
Very well. I misread the word "OR". Of course, it is now up to you to let us know exactly under what circumstances the "goverment" takes people's DNA without their consent to the point where it is actually a concern to anyone.
For the record, I do have email but I certainly do not want it disclosed.

"Those who would sacrifice Freedom for Security deserve neither." Ben Franklin said that, and it's appallingly true today. More and more people are buying into the media spin of terrorism, contaminated water, escalating crime, etc etc etc.
I'm not saying we shouldn't be concerned, I'm saying the best way to address a systemic threat is with individual responsibility and education. The more people rely on government to be their security blanket, the more liberties will have to be sacrificed.
Why do we see scenes of horrible death, tragedy, and terrible actions sprayed all over TV and radio 24 hours a day? The more afraid people are in general, the more willing they are to accept sweeping attacks in order to make them safe.
Terrorism is a trump card in keeping Americans afraid and under surveillance. A terrorist could be anywhere, look like anybody - you can't trust your neighbors, you can't hide from the threat. The only possible way to be safe is to allow your phone calls to be monitored, you movements tracked, your bank account transactions recorded.
I'm not screaming conspiracy theories, I'm saying what has been said for centuries - all people of power want one thing: more power.

Sorry, but what is wrong with proper ID? I'd rather have my bank pay my money out to me- not some impersonator with a fake cheque.
They can scan my DNA all they want- fat lot of good will it do to them, considering that there are now 6 bilion+ sets of DNA in this world, and you're welcome to try and find two who will do anything identically
They can also have my fingerprints- after all if I ever plan on doing anything illegal, I can wear a pair of gloves.
But if my fingerprints, DNA, eye scans etc mean I can sleep safe at night- then all is well.
And if I ever get tired of them using my biometric data- I will move to Sierra Leone or the Lower Moluccas.

In the past in this country, and today in America, innocent people are put to death by the government for crimes they did not commit. Paedophiles and rapists are convicted today on the strength of DNA evidence.
All people should have their DNA on record, to remove reasonable doubt when crimes are committed.
Some Pikey nicked the grille badge off of my car a while ago, how nice it would have been to go down the local cop-shop and have them swab the grille. I wouldn't have pressed charges but at least I'd have gotten my badge back!
We live in a yob-culture, it would disappear in a heartbeat if gits knew they would definitely be caught!

You are dealing with Americans. They are among the thickest and most brainwashed on the planet. When you start saluting a flag, you are an idiot.

But I haven't got anything to hide, I don't really mind them having my fingerprints or anything. If the government wants to take over the world (and lets face it they practically have) then you know, it doesn't make much of a difference to us.

Can I have some of what you are having.
You may be right but like the guys above said. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear and if it does get to the stage were we have got somethnig to fear from having nothing to hide then I'll do something about it.
