80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

Life is the fine art of being not dead.

If you find that you cannot bring yourself to care about anything at all, then seek professional help.

Some people choose something or some one, others are chosen by whatever or whoever. When it happens, you will recognise it.

If you think that the answer has to be the same for everybody, then read a book on Buddism.

If you're just afraid you might make the wrong choice, then choose Truth, and study Ethics. Just remember, you can change your mind, but only once!

That is a question no one knows the answer to.

You can either take the religious path to answer that question, which will tell you that God created everything because he wants people to enjoy living.

Or, you can take the more scientific approach, and view life as just a freak accident or formation. If life is just a freak accident, then we have no real purpose, except to just keep living, surviving and reproducing.

How sweetly original !! Let's see . . . I am alive. I am here. I need to be grateful for that. My life is meaningful. That is all I need to know.

life is for living. Living is when you are busy with something. Ones are busy living and others are busy dying.

THE MEANING OF LIFE IS TO CELEBRATE AND GLORIFY GOD AND ALL HIS CREATIONS. HE CREATED ALL OF US AND ALL OF THESE THINGS SO THAT WE CONTINUE TO LIVE ON AS A PIECE OF HIM. JUST LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF LIFE
