I have pet rats but alot of people say there gross. I dont understand why! they are so cute! I wanna know your oppinion on pet rats.

I love pet rats, I currently have 10, 9 boys and 1 little girl who I got spayed so that she could live some of my boys. I have managed to convert quite a few people to liking rats. Once people get past the sewer rat image, they see the cute faces and hands and how intelligent they are. The only downside to rats is that they dont live very long, every time I lose one I say no more, but I cant resist their cute little faces. I would say that I'm addicted to them! Nothing beats watching rat TV or having rats climbing over you.

I love pet rats!!! I have had four, two at a time, and they are the greatest pets on Earth! They are sweet, rarely bite, ultra cute, and are very friendly! People who say they are gross are just being stereotypical about them because of the rats that spread the Black Death (which are gross) and can't be bothered to learn to understand and like them.

Wow, i have no idea how you can do that! I went to the pet store last week to pick up something for my pet terrapins, and i saw the whole rat and mice section, and i dont see how theyre pets :S personally they freak me out!!!! to me theyre no different from the rats on the street sorry..... ps i love the name kai though , i actually wanted to call my kid that, but now that i see a rat with the same name.....

I used to have a pet rat and pet mice. They are sooo cute but like all cage pets they do smell a lil.LOl I have two ferrets now.

i had two mice i think they are cute. people that thank they are ugly are just mean. they thank of rats as rodence and we thatnk of them as cute pets so i dont know what is the matter with the other people. tomorrow i am going to get two rats and two mice so who knows about the other people but i thank they are cute.

I did not even know they could be pets until I had one. I had a grey and white one named Timpleton. He actually made a good pet. He could be handled, even by children, he was surprisingly low maintenance, and he enjoyed riding in the car. Just could not train him to wait to use the cage for bathroom when he was out. I reccomend them as pets actually.

They are sweet, loving, intelligent creatures but unfortunatley they do not live very long - 1 to 2 years. So I will not have one as a pet anymore because just as you get to really love them, they die!

I love rats! Mine, (sprinkle) is creme-colored and soooooooo adorable!! I can let her run around and she won't have any accidents. She's great! And my mom loves her too!!!!

yup, i've got two little girls. i've noticed that people either love them or think they're disgusting... i'm struggling a little with people that think they're gross too, but i guess it's their loss because my ratties are WONDERFUL pets
