Hicupps are the involuntary action of your diaphram spasming. Take a deep breath and support your lungs with your "diaphram" like you would singing. Basically you're pushing down on your stomach. Because you can't actually control your diaphram, this makes your stomach and all your other insides to push down onto it, making it so it has a more difficult time spasming.

Good luck with the hicupps!

Try drinking ice water from the opposite side of the glass. You'll have to lean over. Drink as much as you can. 8 to 12 ounces being a full glass.Usually works for me.

Try a staring contest. I think it's the slowed breathing while concentrating that makes the hiccups go away. Or drink a tall glass of water.

I hold my breath for 20 seconds. It usually works for me. Other techniques that I heard of is drinking a lot of water, having someone scare you, and hanging upside down. I like the "hold your breath" technique. :-)

i think it has to do with food or something being caught in your throat and your body tries to get it un-stuck or something (hah. i sound like an idiot. un-stuck. but that's what happens.) i'd recommend drinking water.
