a conventional oven bakes your food with out any sort of air flow. most recipes for baking anything in an oven the times are based on conventional ovens. a convection oven has a little fan in the back which circulated the heat around what your cooking for a quicker more even cooking method. these ovens also allow you to cut maybe 5 - 15 min off your cook time, but watch out for baking time. when ever i bake any sort of pie or cake i use a conventional oven.

Both convention and convection ovens use air heated either by gas or an electric burner to cook food. The difference is that a convection oven has a fan situated at the back or the side of the oven that circulates the heat.

A convection oven is a counter top electrical oven that uses even heating to cook food 3x's fater than a conventional oven, and the clean-up is much easier too. Food tastes like it was cooked for hours in the conventional oven, not like microwaved food!

a convection oven has a fan to blow the hot air around inside the oven. it cooks the product more evenly. well worth the 25% extra in the cost of purchase. only problem is there are more moving parts to service.

I am on my 3rd convection oven and could not live without it. It cooks food much faster by circulating air. Also, it cooks great oven fries, they come out crisp without grease. Shake and bake types of food come out just splendid. It does a beautiful job on roasts and chicken. Now they have a combination microwave, convection. That will be my next one.

Because a convection oven has a blower to circulate the heat, it cuts the cooking time up to half.
I wish I could afford one....but they are also electric, and I love my GAS cooking!
