Marilyn Vos Savant has the highest recorded IQ in history though her deviation IQ is not the highest. William Sidis had the highest speculated IQ at somewhere between 250-300 as a kid and 200+ as an adult.

The popular answer these days is Marilyn Vos Savant because
of her much publicized entry into the Guinness book of World Records and her newspaper column which arrogantly reminds us of this claim. But to say she has the highest I.Q. of all time is untestable and absurd. I am sure she is an extremely bright and unique individual, but to mention her name in the same sentence as Da Vinci, Leibnitz, Feynman, or Gauss
is laughable.

Since it is impossible to test the "I.Q." of deceased people
and and difficult to define intelligence without a quantitative test,
the whole exercise is futile.
My vote for the most amazing of all the geniuses in terms of both intelligence and extent of knowledge and ideas, is
Leonardo DaVinci.

I don't know about history as there is no way to measure intelligence of people in the past.

Marilyn Vos Savant is currently considered the most intelligent person alive today.

I am definitely NOT the most intelligent, and I need to remember that so I don't drive Friends away. And to the guy at 136? intelligence means nothing withou common sense. Be grateful you have that to make up for it.

Mine varies, usually 132-135. I hate myself for not hitting the 140 mark.
