The 2012 olympics are in the summer and the end of the Mayan calander is in December 2012.
Didn't Nostradamus say the world was going to end in 1999?
I think the Mayans just ran out of time to finish their calaendar when they disappeared.

It's not only the Mayans who predict this but also Edgar Cayce , The Hopi, The Cherokee and eleven other tribes as well as Nostradamus. Not the end of the world but the end as we know it. The end of the fourth world and the beginning of the fifth world...by their calander.

No. It's impossible to tell when an appocalyptic event will take place. Good question.

Even if it did, which i doubt, it would join the thousands of apocolyptic predictions since the days the Romans were tossing the Christians to the lions.

Gosh I hope so. Things are pretty boring, we need an apocalyptic event to distract us from politics for awhile.
