I want to go to London more than anything in the whole world. The culture the people and the accents especially are so cool to me. England's arts and literature really interest me as well. If anyone has ever been there, how was it?

I actually live in London (I'm English) and it really is one of the greatest cities in the world so I'm sure you're going to have a fantastic time here!

Compared to America it is more expensive to get accomodation, to eat out, travel, visit atractions, etc, so you'd have to budget your money accordingly, but London is worth it!
There's so much to do and see here - if you like the arts then we have some amazing art galleries and museums- e.g. The National Gallery, The National Portrait Gallery, the Tate and Tate Modern (if you go from the Tate to the Tate Modern you can get a boat up the Thames from one to the other), the Natural History Museum, The British Museum, the V&A, the Museum of London, to name just a few!
There's the Millenium Eye, Millenium Bridge, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, St. James's Palace and Park and Westminster Abbey, again, to name a few!

London has beautiful architecture, some fantastic park areas, great places to eat, great nightlife and some of the best shopping in the world (the Topshop flagship store is a must see as are some of the markets)!

If you've got time then you can also get the Eurostar from Waterloo station to Paris, and spend a day there as well.

As with all big cities, London has the usual problems, but just be aware, stay safe and you'll have an amazing time!

Good Luck!

I lived there 7 years, and by no skill had a vehicle. you do no longer % one and it relatively is impossible to park, there are maximum of buses and the underground (Tube) is awesome. yet my suggestion, is once you're exploring crucial London, you need to purchase a pocket sized AtoZ (available everywhere) and walk! That way you will no longer pass over out on all of the amazing attractions. summer time is obviously the final time, and the biggest charm, no longer basically in London however the united kingdom, is the "London Eye". Be warned nonetheless, London is very high priced. have relaxing..........

I've been there many times. I love London and the people. The theaters are wonderful, transportation is easy from anywhere, the food is great in the international restaurants.
One thing to think about is to consider taking the "Chunnel Train" to Paris while your there.
You will enjoy both cities.
Hope you get there:)

I have been to London many times. I love it. However, it is a very expensive city to visit. Hotels, restaurants and taxi's cost quite a bit. One thing you must always remember is never to cut in a line in London. They frown on any one who does not mind the "Que." Also, beware of people on the street trying to sell "gold jewelry" this is a popular scam there.
