Have you ever seen anyone on yahoo answers call someone (famous) evil? I was reprimanded on Yahoo! for saying a certain celebrity was evil. They claim the statement falls into the catagory of Epithets & Slurs just because I simply said that the high profile figure was evil. Has anyone else been scolded for calling someone evil in their answers? Is this right in your opinion?

I wish there was less editorializing and opinion on yahoo answers. The fact that this has become troll country is the biggest disappointment of all in terms of the potential this site held to be a place to get real answers to honest questions. Crap like "Why does so and so political party hate America?" is not a real question deserving of any real response.

Yahoo just has its hands full trying to police answers. I think what they do amounts to spot checks. A lot gets by their net. I frequently report people who spam moneymaking ads here, look back a month later, and they're still up, even though they unquestionably violate standards regarding ads and spam and repeat postings.

You can call someone evil all you want, but if you don't want to be reprimanded, you'd best have a reason for your opinion. I don't think Hitler necessarily falls into this category (not many people arguing for him), but if you say something like "Rush Limbaugh is evil" you'd better be ready to defend it.

Personally, I tend to shy away from calling anyone "evil" unless they're drowning puppies for fun.

it is in your onw view poijnt and your own opion. Adolph Hilter in his own view was doing what he thought was right, the rest of the world didn't and still (most sane people) think that what he did was wrong and in essence evil and inhuman. but it all has to do with your opinion and view point. it also depends on your insanity level lol just a joke, but in some cases true. yes i have been yelled at by a teacher, but i told them that it was my right as a US citizen , but i was told that if i was going to say something like that i 1 have to justify my anser and 2 give aother view point too.

I suppose most moderators prefer we live in a dough faced, do nothing, I'm okay, your okay world of liberal political correctness.

Still Shakespare has the last word which is similar to that Christian's view:

We do not judge men Sir we judge Crimes! the point is that you really can't make a window into a mans soul and judge the nature of his true Karma but mind his deeds carefully, for the world is filled with the ill effects of those who claimed good intentions!

Wow. merciless, merciless dad and mom. I propose what have been they questioning! What do they think of that toddler is going to do something of his existence. did no longer they think of of ways that should influence him somewhat than being selfish and naming him that by using fact they "loved it"? you merely do no longer do this. What are the probabilities that they might have named him that if there wasn't already the infamous Adolph Hitler. that's incorrect that the shop denied them nevertheless. that's quite lots unconstitutional.

The concept of good and evil is a religious concept. As all religion is made up hogwash, there is no such thing as good or evil.

Well, the question really is, who are you to say if someone is evil? Isn't that best left to God?
That's probably what they didn't like, right there.

As far as I'm concerned as long as it is stated as your opinion and not as fact there can be no problem.
For instance, in my opinion, Hitler was the personification of evil.
