8 KB?! 8 KB is nothing don't worry about it. I can understand if it was like 8 MB then yeah. If your hard drive is pretty big then I wouldn't worry for such a small sector thats bad.

It can´ t. It is a sign of overall deterioration and you should start backing up your files pronto. You´ re in business of a new hd in near future... When you find one bad sector there´ s more to come. Backup, buy a new one and sell this one out. Helps to pay for the new one...

chkdsk /f c:
(if it's not the c: drive, type the drive you want to check)
