Sadly many old people everywhere have such lonely lives that they have nothing better to do. It gives them a purpose in life. Be tolerant and ignore any undeserved critisism.

Hmmmm so the old British women could hear your accent even though she was on the other side of the enclosure from you and you did not communicate with her .
Sounds like there's a racist here but it aint the imaginery old lady with crooked teeth.
How did you manage to get such a good look at her teeth anyway if you were on opposite sides of the otter enclosure ??????
If you are gonna lie mate better think your story out a little better next time you stupid foriegner
Oops sorry did I let my rabid xenophobia slip out there

Your question includes judging someone because they have a 'big old crooked teethed mouth' The look of someone is not a fair criticism, that makes you rude.
Your question should only have stated what the person did wrong.
If you simply dropped the crisp by accident, then why should you get upset when someone, thinking you were feeding the animals, tells you not to feed the animals.
You should have laughed at her mistake.

You make the point that all British people are nosey, rude and racist, but branding us all the same makes YOU racist. You know how hurtful it is to be judged on your culture, so why are you doing it to other people?
A lot of younger British people just want everyone to get on, but people like you who keep branding us with the same mark as older people who sometimes are rude just make this harder for us... We dont care what race or culture you come from, we see you for the person you are, and we'd appreciate you to do the same instead of dismissing us because of the actions of others.

Sounds like you are having a whinge and a moan yourself, maybe its time to practise what you preach and all that hey, not all the English are rude and nosey though we do tend to respect criticism when its needed, on this occasion it isn't, as for the lady been racist or anyone else in this country been racist when they hear your accent, you appear to be very presumptuous too, don't judge everyone by your standards.

I'm not English, but I've been traveling anywhere in this world and find that racism could be everywhere. but I understand why some people be racist for whatever there reasons behind could be respected either it is + or -, they got thier different points...you said they are nosey and rude, why haven't you been nosey and rude for a while? moaning? complaining? i think there's no problem with it, everyone could moan and complain that's normal, not just english, even you, in fact you've already moaning and complaining here....note: NO ONE'S PERFECT!

I asked that same question of these guys from New york who I recently bumped into in the Caribbean, while they were discussing how rude the natives were because they could not understand them when they ordered there beers, I was sat about thirty metres away but we all understood.
Theres rude people in every culture, you may have the look but I dont think you have the same culture

knersis, that name sounds like an afrikaans name, is it? well, i'm from good ole za, i actually look asian and trust me, if it had been me dropping the crisp, i woulda been roasted. Never mind that my forefathers are just as english as theirs... Well, as a teacher having come here to teach, i can tell you, the english are nosey and rude, and totally common. I think they have a royal family to help remind them the English once had manners and etiquette? Well, nosey, it seems to stem from a lack of society, people will stare at anything that looks different, and any good-mannered person will know staring is just so...uncool? rude, don't even go there, they make rude seem like something decent, compared to what they've got.
Dont get me wrong, my hubby is english, he can be all that, but he's learning... see, its harder for them to question the society and culture, cause its their only frame of reference, some of them, the kids i used to teach, never even knew some of the uncouth, foul words they spoke, were swear words...

The English are probably the most courteous, and reserved people on earth. Sounds to me that you have got a chip on both shoulders, that should make you well balanced!! You do sound very bigoted towards the "British" and as for being racist that will always be your kinds "stock answer" Also if you are not happy in this "OUR"country please feel free to leave.

lol - do you crunch crisps with your accent too????!! Come on, you cant pull the racist one in this instance - tho she could pull the ageist one on you after your less than complimentary description of her!!
Incidentally, what you describe shows the old lady was neither moaning or complaining. You describe her telling you off. Perhaps if she had told you off for eating your crisps in such a slovenly manner you would have had less to complain about yourself................cos thats what you are doing here, moaning and complaining!!
Have a nice day ;)
