If it is someone close to me, I generally give frighteningly honest answers. If it is someone who is only gauging the "shock value" of the question, I usually just give a flippant answer.

They're my favorite. I think there's too much wishy-washiness, out there, and not enough true, open communication between people. If we were all honest all the time, we'd come to the realization we're more alike than we think and that would ultimately be good for humanity.

Actually, I'm one of those people that asks honest questions but I never ask a question that I'm not fully prepared to answer myself. If you don't do anything you're ashamed of, you should never be afraid of a question.

I have no problem with honest questions. I do have a problem with people who do not know the difference between honesty and rudeness or insensitivity.

The key word is honest. Awe, astonishment, and admiration. I love anything that makes people think.

I give an even more frightening answer, even if its not true, just to intimidate the asker. Make them know that I can be scary & blunt too!
