I saw Wolfcreek recently and could hardly stand watching it. Then I had nightmares all night. What did others think of it?

Wolf Creek I found to be pretty bland and uninspired. If you want scary movies go to the classics:

Night of the Living Dead
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
The Shining
The Exorcist
Evil Dead

And if you want a well done serial killer movie go check out Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer or Man Bites Dog for some good stuff.

Everybody has given some great choices. I'll just add The Howling and possibly House on Haunted Hill, a movie I saw way back when I was barely in my teens. It was very scary.

i think Halloween is pretty scary, the idea of a crazed predator is more than just a movie, this kind of thing is in the news all the time now in real life cause its true... there IS a boogeyman. that goofy movie with halle Berry where her husband the shrink is a serial sex killer caught on videotape was pretty damn scary too, the stuff that is happening in the world for real is what makes these movies so scary

The Exorcist was one of the scariest I have seen in my lifetime. I remember I watch that one at about eleven at night and the house was all dark.
