Yes the good old happy drug Prozac. I was on and off it for years. I started it when i was diagnosed with post natal depression when my daughter was 6 months old she is now 15 and i only stopped taking it about 4 years ago. Not my doctors fault but my own. I would stop taking it when i felt better and never completed the course. Hence forth I was taking it for different periods of time. The last time i took it i completed a year long course and since i came off it i have never had to go back on it. One of the main side effects i found was weight gain and to be honest i am having a real problem getting it shifted. If you have to take it then complete the course don't stop when you feel better it doesn't last long if you do.

yes i take them also known has Prozac i call them happy pills Ive been on them for a few years now but i was very depressed now I'm fine although i still take them its only because i have a history of depression and these are the best medication Ive had not every one takes them for along time some people just take them for a short period every one is different don't worry about taking them they are not addictive and you will feel a different person after a few weeks good luck

my husband uses it as a control over anxiety. They made him quite poorly for the first week but he perservered and now hes fine. We were told by the doc thats it the non-addictive form of prozac and will have no problems coming of it. He's been on it for 8 months now and is slowly come off without any side affects.
They have really helped him, so if you are prescribed them take them. All the best :)

I used to work in aviation medicine and can tell you that we would never prescribe prozac to any aircrew because of the possible side effects particularly heart related ones. I still prefer good old Jack Daniels and Coke as a pick me up.

Yes I have 30 mg of these nightly. They are known as Prozac, I take them because I have severe arthritis and they help with relaxing the nerve endings. I have been on the for about one month. I have had no side effects.

My wife has, as a means to even out her hormones - pre-menaopause, not for depression. Seems to be working for her. If you have more questions for her about it, send an email. She'll be glad to help

I got put on these as the doctors said i was depressed, I wasn't but they made me take them - made me spaced out and feel not with it at all, so didn't take them again!
