seriously, you have no idea who is truely ont he other side of the computer, even if they have picks up you still dont know if that really them, come on now think about it

It is not always a waste of time, but it can be. Some of the people you meet online are just looking for something to do. There are some people who are dangerous too.
The waste of time comes from purposely searching out people online to chat with. If you really want to find a long term friendship, you need to meet someone face to face.

It is not, as long as u can still sense some decency...I met some jerks ofcourse but I met 2 individuals who became a part of my life.....The first one didnt click but we sure had real goodtimes together....Now Im seing the 2nd one and it turned out that we are verymuch inlove with each other after chatting for almost 6 months.....Life is like that....you never know who you will meet be it ONline or OFFline

It's really not a waste of time. Well, it depends on what you talk about I've helped alot of people giving them advice and they helped me too. It's a waste of time when they want cybersex.

it can be sometims but it depends, i meet my current bf online, i didn't go online with the intention of finding someone but we jus 'clicked' lol but we've been together for a year now. but i have chatted online to others guys who were a waste of time

Swimmer one is right. You don't know what they look like, rather they male or female, a maniac, old young, plain as day you are wasting your time unless you know the person already.

its a waste of time when they start asking what you wearing and things like that.sometimes you can make good friends on line.but i hate when someone ask what you wearing before they even say hi.but thn im not into cyber sex
