what is the whole point in the genre and does it make any sense?

mostly sex and satanism....also depressive suicidal stuff that makes you want to kill lots of innocent people....and have sex..i think....and oh yeh....messages from the devil if you play them backwards.....oh my god ....don't do it.....get get advice from your doctor before listening to that stuff..

It makes perfect sense to me. I can't explain it to you. You have to listen for yourself. It either captures you or it doesn't. It will survive whether you like it or not.

it sounds nice for a start. you can feel the thoughts of the song if it is not crappy. i find the slow songs of the rock bands GREAT!

its about expression and rebellion, and rage against the machine and fakes, it completely makes sense
