Because knowledge is also bliss.

Power is not bliss, I learnt some horrible information about charities and I hate having that knowledge, but it has given me the power to stop it.
I use that power by telling people the knowledge - all the most famous charities make more money in a month than we make in a year, they don't need our money, they just want it. Like, Guide Dogs for the Blind, they have enough money for guide dogs for the next hundred years, or Oxfam, they pay the supervisors £500 a week just to tell the volunteers what to do, and that to qualify as a charity you need to give 'a' percentage of what you get, that could mean fifty pence of every pound, or a penny, or a point of a penny. Did you know that a series of adverts cost between £10 million and £15 million, so if you see an ad on the telly then they don't need the money!

"Ignorance is bliss" is a false datum.
"Knowledge" is like wise does not equal power.
Knowledge does however have an inter-relationship with Responsibility and Contol in that if you increase Knowledge these other two factors will also increase. This applies to any of these 3 components. The reverse is also true.
For example if you decrease Knowledge, Responsibility and Control also decrease proportionately.
This is easily demonstrated and observable in life.
Thus disproving the false concept that "ignorance is bliss"

I invite you to check this out for yourself before you accept it as fact.

The equation is:
ignorance equals happyness/bliss
Power equals knowledge
Power does not equal Bliss nor does ignorance equal power

Without the blisful ignorants, the knowledged ones would have no power.
The the problem is that if knowledged ones know their power, the ignorants do not know their bliss.
Therefore, my questions are: is there any such thing as bliss? Is there any such thing as power when one only is aware?

Whoever said Power is Bliss though? i'd rather be happy and innocent than knowledgable and powerful.

It's not an oxymoron - an oxymoron is a contradiction in a two word statement such as 'deafening silence'. Knowledge is power - definitely. Ignorance is bliss - definitely. QED.

Knowledge gives you the power of choice, but doesn't necessarily make you life easier or happier. The days of my blissfully ignorant youth were great fun, but when I see adults who are still like that, I am glad I have moved on (even though there is the occasional grain of jealousy...)!

Sometimes, just sometimes I meet old people, who are just fascinating to speak to - their attitudes, experiences and outlook on life... They could be called wise, I suppose. These people are NEVER ignorant. If I could be like them when I'm old, I would be very content.

knowledge requires attainment, while bliss is a state of the mind unknown.
