My favorites are LaneBryant.com, Avenue.com, Catherines.com, JustMySize.com, BandLu.com, and there are a ton more. You can find really great coupons and discounts for these places at http://eshopguru.com. FYI - if you're shopping for Jeans, I find that Avenue jeans are slightly larger than Lane Bryant when comparing jeans of the same size. The cut is very different. If you need more ideas, try contacting the chick that runs eShopGuru.com. I swear she can find anything online - and is really helpful if you email her. She says she's a shopaholic, so she likes to help people shop online as a hobby.

I agree with alot of the other responses, Torrid is a great place to start. They carry popular and well made brands like Baby Phat, Paris Blues, LEI, etc. If you sign up for their mailing list, you'll get a heads up and in-store as well as online sales. Their clothes are very up to date and they can cover you from casual to business to club.
Another fabulous online store is http://www.alight.com They have a great selection in a range of sizes and prices.
Target is great for adding some basic pieces to your wardrobe but I bought one Mossimo top and it wore pretty quickly. I do like buying workout clothes there, I like the Champion brand.
This ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/Curvy-Girl-Clothing also carries cute pieces and their inventory is updated fairly regularly.
Lane Bryant stores are actually starting to carry a little more modern styles for teens and twenty something's. It's always worth shopping there when they offer real women dollars. Again if you sign up for their mailing list you will receive coupons and advance notice of sales and promotions.
Old Navy (both in some stores and online) has a good plus size selection and is always affordable. Great place for finding basic pieces to weave into your wardrobe.
I know how hard it can be to be plus size and stylish, I hope these tips help!

Lane Bryant, Macy's, Avenue, Old Navy, I find some items at these stores online.
Ashley Stewart, has some nice items. You can't order online, but you can find a store near you.
I didn't know about torrid.com, but I check them out and found some really cute items.

I definately know that there are a few merchants selling plus-sized clothing at http://products.simplysearch4it.com
The reasons that I know this is because I had brought some plus-sized clothing for a girl about 3 months back for her birthday.
I think it was a good choice as she looks good in it and she liked it very much.

This has several stores listed that you can look at. Torrid has a lot of trendy type clothing. It's not my style, but someone else I know has purchased things from there and likes it. This list is pretty comprehensive for all of the plus sized stores that I know of...good luck.
