We could have won the team is amazing but are we setting ourselves for a fall If we have high hopes?????? I cant decide if I should be thinking that we can do good .... What so you think????

I think we have a solid core of players with Bosh, Nestovich, and Parker up front and Mo Pete and Ford in the back court. Also this year they have a good reliable bench. Last if Sam Mitchell took CB4 out of the game. He would have nobody on the bench to turn to. I think this year will be much improved. Do I think they will be the best, no but they will definitely be knocking on that playoff door.

I don't think the team agrees with Sam Mitchell's philosophy of "attempting 100 shots per game". He was confused why the team didn't "hustle" tonight, or in other words, why they didn't attempt more shots than San Antonio. Managment and Colangelo want to turn this team into Phoenix Jr., without the talent the Suns have.
This team is most dangerous when they let TJ Ford play court general, and slice up opposing defenses with a balanced scoring drive. And then when the game gets gritty, and you need someone to take command, let Bosh do his thing, and lead the team. Chucking up a bunch of shots and hoping you simply outscore your opponent is not going to work.
The Euro League players (Bargnani, Garbajosa, Parker) need to acclimate themselves to the NBA. That will take time. Ford needs to get to know the tendencies of Bosh and Mo Peterson. This will take time.
Oh yea, and the Raptors need to play some semblence of defense, at some point this year. It's about time for that. (I think Kobe Bryant just made another layup against us.)
The Raptors will probably finish 2nd or 3rd in a weak Atlantic Division, and maybe grab the #8 spot in the playoffs. It will all depend on how long it takes for everyone to gel.

I think they'll do better than last year, but they are still in the growing/learning process. We can't expect them to go from last to first in the league in one year. I think they have tremendous potential, and they'll be in the race for the playoffs. I think its best (as I am) not to expect very much from them, then if they do good, they did better than expected.
