i wanna know some new bands in the style of blink 182 or sum 41 or red hot chili peppers. just alternative bands.

Blink 182 and Sum 41 are very different from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
If you want bands like Blink 182 and Sum 41, check out Yellowcard, Good Charlotte, Rancid, and other Pop-Punk bands.
If you want to listen to stuff like RHCP I'd recommend listening to Primus, Cake, Incubus, and Robert Randolf and the Family Band.

story of the year, lostprophets, and the red jumpsuit apparatus all sound like them. also check out the sleeping and emery. Even though they're not really close-sounding, they're still good if you like any of the above bands. and the half house guy has a point. AVA and +44 were made from the members of blink, so blink's style kinda carried over to them.

Pluss 44, and Angels and Airwaves. These are the two bands that they made when blink split up. pluss 44 is travis and marks new band, and angels and airwaves is toms.

alternative is my favorite type of music. I would recomend Green Day, Hawthorne Heights, or Panic at the Disco.
