Growing up is being able to understand and cope with difficult situations.
The opposite to growing up is to remain childlike in your thinking, or to keep a stone mind when an open mind is adult.
The best thing in society is the feeling of togetherness, of having people that care about us.
The best thing about school is learning. We need learning. It's what our brains are for.
The best thing about my peers is that they give me something to measure myself against, to see how I could better myself.
The best thing about friends is that they care about you no matter how weird you are.
The best thing about family is they love you know matter how cruddy you are.
I was waiting on a bus one time, and this lady I never met, had never seen before in my life, just gave me a bottle of water, unopened she had just bought from the store right behind me, because I looked uncomfortable in the hot weather.
Tthat's incredibly nice of her. I'll remember that forever.

1. Growing up is changing. You grow into your skin, from a bald and wrinkly baby to a full grown person. You mature and learn and start thinking for yourself.

2. The opposite of growing up is living in the past. Believing that if nothing changes then you won't either.

3. The best thing in society is the general acceptance for difference, as in less racial, sexual and gender related discrimination. The worst is the pressure on young girls to be, act and look a certain way.

4. Best thing about school is the time spent on creative projects that require thinking. Worst is the pressure and teasing from peers.

5. The best thing about my peers is that one in ten is a friend. Worst thing is that the other nine are enemies. To elaborate, too many people fit the mold, and only a few brave souls dare to break it.

6. The best thing about my friends is their laughter, how easily they laugh and talk and forgive. The worst thing is their tendency to worry, as a whole, what people think of them.

7. The best thing about my family is their loving ways. There are always hugs and kind words. The worst thing is that we live so far away that we hardly ever come together, all of us at once.

8. The best thing ever said to me was when a close friend who's a boy called me "beautiful because I'm smart". Worst thing ever said was said by a blonde cheerleader type, "you're too smart, you need to be normal." Best thing ever done to me was when I was sick and everyone sent me long email wishing me to get better. Worst thing was when that same cheerleader spilled black paint all over my white shirt.

I loved answering your questions, they really made me think about my life in a different perspective. I hope to see more fun questions like this one!

1. Growing up to me is being able to think and make decisions for myself. You can be 30 years old, but if your mother is still telling you what to eat and wear, you're not grown up! If you're 16 and working, in school and on your own, you're grown up.

2. Being babied and taken care of, of course!

3. The worst thing is society is hatred of yourself. If you can't love yourself, how can you love or respect others? That's why we have so many societal problems. The best thing about society is the ability to make choices. Everyone has that ability, even those in impovrished nations, or Communist societies.

4. The worst thing about school is the class structure. I'm not talking about the learning stuff. I guess cliques are what I mean. You learn from a young age that if you're not this type of person, you can't do certain things. I feel that prejudice runs more rampant in schools than it does in the real world. The best thing about school is the quick and ready ability that you have to be able to socialize. You have teachers there that can guide you and help you so you don't go down the wrong path.

5. The worst thing about my peers is they don't listen half the time. How many times do I have to ask for something before I get it?? Aggrivates the crap out me, I tell you. The best thing about them is that they listen the OTHER half of the time. When I finally am heard, it gets done. I can be very forcefull in my job, and am one of those people that will stand up and not shut up or sit down until the action is done.

6. Worst thing about friends is they are brutally honest. That's the best thing, too. Hands down, that's the truth, baby.

7. Family knows you the best, so you're inability to lie to them is decidedely weaker. Best thing - they are the ultimate lie detectors. Worst thing - when you lose them or hurt them, you feel like dying inside.

8. Worst thing ever done to me was being told by my parents that I was fat and needed to lose weight or I would die. The best thing that has ever happened to me was being promoted to the position that I hold now at my workplace and showing my parents that I could succeed despite what they said.

Good luck with your art project and I hope you do well!

1. Growing up is work. It can be wonderful, sad, fun, painful, joyous... but it is definately hard work.

2. Immaturity (Which is fine if you're a kid. Not so fine if you're an adult!) *By the way... it is ok to be childlike and still be grown up, that's not the same as being immature.

3. Worst thing in society: Fear of differences. Best thing: Tolerence

4. Best thing about school: Opportunity for growth and learning. Worst thing about school: mean kids

5. Best thing about my peers: They support me. Worst thing: ?

6. Best thing about friends: Again, they support me. Worst thing: I don't see them enough.

7. Best thing about family: Unconditional love. Worst thing: Minor annoyances and petty arguments.

8. Best thing ever said to me: "I love you". Worst thing ever said to me: "You're worthless".

Hope this helps you.
